We went to go see Kenny Chesney again this year. He always comes here in May and plays at an outdoor arena in Frisco. We had a blast last year so knew we wanted to go again.
We have been getting so much rain here this year but after checking weather.com all day we were hopefull that we'd miss the rain.
We didn't!! Thankfully I asked Glen to go buy us ponchos the day of! Don't we look cute?
After Kenny performed for about 50 minutes he called the concert off for lightening. I was happy he put me out of my misery!
Now... I'm happy to announce that Kenny has rescheduled his concert for this Sunday. I think you have to respect a performer for rescheduling when he didn't have to. Can't wait!! Let's hope it doesn't rain again!!

1 reason I love Facebook!!
One night I updated my status on Facebook and said that Glen, the kids and I were at Taco Diner for dinner. I recieved 7 comments from friends saying they either loved Taco Diner or haven't ever been there and all of that evolved to us wanting to plan a girls night out there.
I love that Facebook keeps me connected to family and friends and I love that nights like this wouldn't have probably ever happened if it wasn't for Facebook.
It was so fun!!

Aaron's Basketball highlight!!
Aaron played his 1st season of basketball this winter. He played in a league called Upwards. It's a Christian based league. They learn a memory verse every week and have devotions at practice. It was a lot of fun for him.

I am such a bad blogger these days!! I think I got addicted to facebook and am neglecting my bloggers!! I'm sorry!! I am going to do better ; )
Anyway, Things here are fabulous!! God is restoring and pouring into us more then He ever has. Glen and I feel an anointing that can only be from Him!! It's exciting to see God using us in others lives and blessing our family. We are so thankful for this season.
I'm reading an amazing book right now called "When godly people do ungodly things" by Beth Moore. I can't put it down. I feel like she has 'READ MY MAIL' (as she says in one of the chapters)!! I've been asking God a lot of questions and this book has answered some of them. It's an awesome tool to teach us to guard against the enemies plans for our lives. If you need grace or you need to give more grace, this is the book for you!! I guess that means it's for all of us : )

Friday the 13th & teachable Moments!!
Our conversation at the dinner table last night was about Friday the 13th. The kids heard from friends that this day brings a lot of bad luck. What a great teaching Moment!! We explained to the kids that we don't believe that and with God there is no such thing as luck but God wants to bless us.
John 1:16 We have all benefited from the rich blessings he brought to us – one gracious blessing after another.
Aaron was watching a kids show and guess what commercial they showed?? A trailer for the movie Friday the 13th!! I couldn't believe it!! Another teachable Moment. We explained to Aaron that our family doesn't watch movies that glorify evil, especially for entertainment.
Mark 7:20 And then he added, "It is the thought-life that defiles you. For from within, out of a person's heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, eagerness for lustful pleasure, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you and make you unacceptable to God."
Instead of being shocked by things that the kids are learning we are finding ourselves with days full of "Teachable Moments"
