I learned something new about myself!!!
I had to go to the doctor today because I have a U.T.I... I've had one before so I knew I just needed some anitibiotics. It was a big inconvenience for me to go to the doctor today cause Glen and I were going to a marriage conference at 3 p.m. But it worked out cause I was able to get in at 2.
I gave my sample and my doctor gave me some free antibiotics and sent me home.
When I got home I took the antibiotic and we left for our conference....
As soon as we sat down I wasn't feeling good. My scalp started itching and I was feeling really flushed. I could not stop scratching. The people behind me must have thought I had bugs. I could feel my face swelling. I looked at Glen and told him there was something wrong. He said my face was beet red. I told him I was going to go to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and was stunned. I had hives alllllllllll over me. I was so red that even he whites of my eyes were red. My face was swollen!!
Remember Will Smith from Hitch???? That was ME!!!!!
Luckily Glen was sitting in the back so I got him and knew we needed to get back to the doctor.
The doctor took me in right away and gave me a shot of Benadryl and a steroid. After about an hour of uncontrollable shivers and being drowsey from the Benadryl, I was so much better.
So I learned today that I'm allergic to some antibiotics.... It's crazy how much you change year to year. When I was younger I wasn't allergic to Shellfish, now I am. I never used to be allergic to antibiotics.
This experience was very scarey. My poor husband was so concerned.
I had to miss the conference : (
Hopefully I can make the last part of it tomorrow.
Thank God I'm fine. Thank God I wasn't far from the doctors office.
I also learned to be careful when you take any medications cause you just never know!!!

I was hoping to get back home & post a page about our trip to California and the river BUT... We forgot a bag in California and left our camara in it....... UGH!!
Oh well, those pics will come... In the mean time some of you have asked how I make Fried Rice.. Here's my simple recipe..
2 tbsp. Oil
2 cups Cooked Cold Rice
2 eggs Beaten
1 cup frozen Peas and Carrots
1-2 Green onions sliced
2 tbsp. soy sauce
garlic salt and pepper
In large skillet heat oil, stir-fry (brown) rice and green onions,
Add seasonings (to your own taste) and soy sauce,
Push the rice to the side, add eggs, scramble them and then stir into rice,
Add frozen peas and carrots (let them cook).
That's it!!! Let me know how you like it!!
