~Dinner With Friends~

My wonderful husband planned dinner with our friends for my birthday. I am so incredibly thankful that he made it so nice... We started the night by having appetizers at our house. Glen really impressed me by making stuffed mushrooms!! They were fantastic. Then we went out to a Japanese restaurant for Sushi and Teppan!!! We had a great time!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Today we celebrated our first Thanksgiving in Texas. We started the day off by having a big breakfast with just the 4 of us. We all prayed and told the Lord what we were thankful for. It was special to spend the start of our day together. The weather was a cool 40 degrees!!!Since a lot of neighbors don't have family nearby, the neighborhood gets together for Thanksgiving dinner. They made 4 Turkeys and everyone brought their own traditional dishes. We brought Presbyterian potatoes!!! Yummy!! The Dallas Cowboys game was on, it started to snow outside and the kids were trying to catch snowflakes in their mouths. (the snowflakes were big but they never stuck to the ground).
We left our neighbors house at about 5 pm to go to our friends for dessert. We ended our night playing games and having a great time.
Our Thanksgiving was very nice and we have so much to be thankful for but... their is definitely a huge part of the holiday that is missing... and that is probably YOU!! We love you all and hope you had a great holiday!!

~~Vacancy~~

Gramme and Papa left today. They had been here for about 3 weeks!! We had so much fun together. They are amazing parents and grandparents to us and I think we appreciate them more then ever after this trip. I kept telling Paula that they were spoiling me by making the kids' lunches, driving the kids to school, helping with housework and odd & ends... They are an amazing example to us and we are so thankful for all the time we spent with them.
We will miss them so much!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Aaron was a Ninja Warrior this Halloween and Allison was Sleeping Beauty. We went to a neighborhood party for dinner and then went trick or treating. We have so much candy, it's ridiculous!!

Here's a picture of some of the kids from the nieghborhood.

Pumpkin Carving with Papa!!!

It's been a halloween tradition for the kids to pick out pumpkins and carve them with Papa. It is so special that they got to do that again this year.... Allison picked a Cat to carve and Aaron picked a scarey looking face. They turned out great!! We keep telling him that now that he's retired he can probably make some money doing that!!
