Oprah's Big Give!!

Have any of you watched Oprah's Big Give on Sunday nights?? I have been a huge fan of reality game shows like the Amazing Race, The Apprentice, and Survivor but this has got to be the best Reality show ever!! It's about time we watch a show that moves us to compassion for others.

This show encourages all of us to open our eyes and see other people's needs. That doesn't always take money!! Serving others or lending a listening ear and encouraging someone is

sometimes all it takes.

I went to a conference over the weekend and the speaker taught me something... "Compassion isn't Compassion unless you put action with it."

We know Easter has nothing to do with Egg Hunts but the kids had soooo much fun doing them!!

A big group from our church had a hunt on Good Friday and our nieghbors had a huge hunt on Easter Sunday. Our neighbors hid about 1000 eggs!! After the big hunt we stayed at the neighbors for dinner. We had a great weekend.

Our Easter service at church was amazing!!! Seriously, the best Easter sermon we've ever heard. Glen and I walked away Wowed!! Pastor Robert taught us about what Jesus was doing the afternoon of his resurrection. Do you know??

Our Super Star!!!

Aaron played his first baseball game of the season tonight. He is now on the 'Indians' and hit a triple tonight!! He had a collision with the first baseman and then got hit in the shin by the ball while he was playing pitcher. He shook it off like a Champ!!! Aaron also had his 2ns grade musical on Tuesday. He was a

'Yellow Jacket'....

The musical was called 'Bugs' and was so extemely cute!! He impressed me with all his dance moves and his line that the had to memorize.

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!

We had more snow on Thursday then Dallas has seen in the last 30 yrs. It was so much fun!!!

Glen and I aren't huge snow people but this was so neat to watch and enjoy for one day. The next day is was sunny and it all melted away.....

I don't think I ever thought I would appreciate living somewhere that we can really enjoy the seasons God has given us, but I truly do!!!

FINALLY!!!

Aaron was brushing his teeth before bed last night and finally lost his first tooth!! He is the only 2nd grader around who still hadn't lost any teeth..... So needless to say he is so excited!!

The Tooth Fairy came and left some $ under his pillow last night. He woke up and told Glen, "I know you and Mom are the real Tooth Fairies". Whatever happened to kids being Naive???

So now what do we do with this tooth that came out? I remember my parents keeping a prescription bottle with our teeth in it. It was gross. Should we bury it or something?
