~Gramme & the 1st day of school~

Gramme came for a visit and to see the kids start their first day of school. Ally started kindergarten & Aaron is now in 3rd Grade. The kids have 1/2 days all week so after we picked them up from school we went to lunch and Gramme treated them to a surprise at Barnes & Noble. They both like their new teachers & enjoyed their first day.

Like always, Gramme has been a lot of help. It's been so nice to end the summer with some help around here!! We are very blessed by her.

We love Wal-Mart!!!

I don't know what it is about Walmart that it gets such a bad rap but since moving to Texas, I absolutely love Walmart!!! The prices are always lower then Target and their return policy is just as good as Costco!! The Walmarts around here are Super Centers which means I can usually get groceries and other odds & ends at the same time.

For instance: Aaron got a Target card for his birthday and so we went to spend it. I had a few grocery items to pick up and I reluctantly did so since I was already there. I bought a couple boxes of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (side note: The Wheat pasta one is sooooo yummy). I spent $1.00 each. We ended up having to go to Walmart the same day and to my horror I saw a big display of the same Mac & cheese for $.50!!!!!

Did you know that Targets return policy has gotten so ridiculous?? If I buy something at Target I hold onto my reciept like it's GOLD! If a purchase is over $20.00 they won't give you anything or let you return it.
If you open a toy and it breaks, Wal mart will take it back and exchange it, no questions asked!!

Don't get me wrong... I have yet to buy clothes at Wal Mart and I like Targets Homegoods better but my first option these days is to go to Walmart to save me $$$$$.
